World Menstrual Hygiene Day – School Outreach (Darfara, Kuje)
As part of our annual school outreach in commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2022, the Kuro-Wari Global Foundation visited Junior Secondary School, Darfara, Kuje, Abuja, to educate and empower young girls on menstrual health and hygiene. The outreach featured engaging, interactive sessions designed to create a safe space for learning and open conversations, sensitizing girls on proper menstrual hygiene practices, self-care, and the importance of maintaining dignity and confidence.
This initiative also highlighted the pressing issue of period poverty, which continues to affect many girls' health, education and overall wellbeing. We appreciate the dedication of our mentors, including Eno Bassey, Ifeoma Nwoji, Ritabella Onyemenam, Ebube, Onyinye, and others.
