The Diva in You – Gwarinpa Village Vocational Training

After our early visits to the Children's Home, we decided to brainstorm and adopt a different approach to humanitarian service: visiting communities to offer skill-enhancement classes, in line with our objective to engage youths in Skill Acquisition Programs that help them generate income and boost their financial status.

In line with the SDGs of "No Poverty" and "Zero Hunger", we created "The Diva in You" as part of the KWGF series — a free workshop for a girls-only audience on how to take on makeup as a source of livelihood. The session covered makeup classes, hair dressing and head tying, and was also an avenue to share tips on good grooming and personal hygiene. Thanks to our facilitator Onyeka Eltee Onuoha for sharing her wealth of knowledge in this field.
