In June 2018, the Kuro-Wari Global Foundation facilitated the second edition of the Girls Who Code program, creating another opportunity for young girls to gain valuable digital and coding skills. This initiative was made possible through the generous support of partners, with Ace Charity covering the full cost of the program, Hilton Hotel Abuja providing transportation support, and brand-new laptops supplied to participants at no cost.
The program ran as an intensive four-month training (Monday to Friday), equipping the girls with practical coding knowledge, digital literacy, and the confidence to explore opportunities in the tech space — bridging the digital gap and opening doors to new possibilities.
